What this demonstration shows.
The explorer contains twelve fictional facilities near Texas city centers, across three facility categories. Regional filters use demonstration display groups, not legislative districts or measured service areas. The city and county labels are geographic context only. There are no real facility names, license numbers, addresses or contact details. Counts describe the loaded sample, never actual county totals.
How the local view works.
A bundled generalized Texas outline supports orientation without external tiles. It is not a surveyed boundary. City labels, sample points, filters and the synchronized list work without a commercial map service or a key. Zoom is limited to the detail available. Regional brief downloads describe only the current sample selection. No district, driving-time or workforce layer is claimed.
What verified coverage would require.
- Reconcile public licensing and hospital records by facility type.
- Record provenance, date, geography and coverage limits for each record.
- Keep unknown details unknown and publish an update owner.
- Use workforce measures only with a source year, geography and denominator. Physician age alone does not predict retirement.
Use a list when a map is not helpful.
Every sample result is also available in a searchable list. Selecting a result reveals the same detail shown through the map. None of these examples should be used to navigate emergency care.
